Beginning with soybean varieties sold for the 2016 planting season, Caverndale Farms Brand Seed will use “HT-GLY” to designate soybean varieties that are Herbicide Tolerant to Glyphosate containing the transgenic event 40-3-2. The soybean varieties that we are offering for sale as HT-GLY do have a variety patent and their harvested seed cannot be kept by the grower for replanting. As a reminder, growers cannot save Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans as they use more recent soybean trait technology and are covered by other patents that will not expire for many years.
